Our client is looking for a Head of Scientific Research to lead their ever expanding research team. Based in Edinburgh, the team predominantly focuses on long-term chronic diseases such as Alzheimers, Cystic Fibrosis, Arthritis and Diabetes. A substantial investment has been acquired in recent months which will provide enough funding for the projects planned over the next 5 years.

The role will be primarily responsible for overseeing the development of new treatments, undertaking and monitoring drug trials as well as presenting of key findings through relevant journal articles and industry events. The successful candidate will have substantial experience of clinical trials and implementing long-term research and development projects within the science sector.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator and presenter, as well as having great people management skills as they will be managing a team of 10 scientific researchers. Reporting to the Research and Development Director, the role will be required to deliver a range of projects concurrently to time and budget. A fantastic remuneration package is available for the right candidate.
