An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading UK sub-contractor within the housing sector. Our client is based in Northern Ireland and has recently won a number of complex projects which requires the recruitment of a Senior Quantity Survey to help deliver. The projects vary in terms of size as well as development type which currently includes hotels, residential, commercial and educational properties.

The role will be responsible for managing multiple projects on a concurrent basis so having an ability to juggle more than a couple of major assignments will be essential. Ideally having worked as a subcontractor previously, the successful candidate will have solid experience within either the M&E or Carpentry & Joinery disciplines. The role will be expected to deliver maximum value through minimising costs, and undertaking proactive analysis to identify key areas for the business to maximise profits. A sound knowledge and adherence to Quality Management system (ISO9001) and other company procedures will also be required.

Managing a team of 3 quantity surveys (across different disciplines), attention to detail will be critical coupled with a proven track record in project delivery to time and budget. Communication and negotiation skills are imperative as the role will be responsible for engaging and agreeing costs and timelines with clients. The role will also be responsible for contract sum analysis and ensuring positive cash flow for each project as well as preparing and agreeing valuations in a timely manner.
