Area Manager - About the company:
Our client is a well-established leading provider of a range of dry walling (and related) products and services within the construction industry. They sell into a range of clients including contractors and steel fabricators. As a result of continued, and anticipated future growth, they are looking to bring on board an Area Manager to lead the Scotland arm of the business.
Area Manager – The Role:
The Area Manager will be responsible for managing a small team alongside maintaining long-standing and new client relationships. It will prepare and provide estimates to clients and ensure that projects are delivered in line with the organisation’s high-quality standards. You will be responsible for overall commercial success and ensure continued improvement to all departments under your control.
Area Manager - Key responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the business strategy for your team
- Ensure all estimates are delivered and managed in line with project requirements
- Undertake all contract negotiations and attend all customer meetings
- Play an active part in the continuous improvement of the departments and site operations under your control
Area Manager - Experience Required:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in management position
- NEBOSH qualified
- Experience working within a construction environment
- Track record of providing estimates, negotiating contracts and managing budgets
You will have prior experience working in Commercial Manager, Estimator, Contracts Manager, Operations Manager, Business Development Manager, Divisional Manager, Business Unit Manager, or similar role within the construction industry.
