Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Director - Manufacturing to join the team. Technical Director – Our Client:
Our client is a leading industrial manufacturer, with over 50 years’ experience within their field. They operate across a variety of sectors including industrial, automotive, metals, electrical and mechanical products. They have a long history and are financially secure. It is a £12M business with c100 employees and they currently work with industry changing clients across a range of sectors.
Technical Director – The Role:
This role will come with extensive autonomy to implement best practices and you will help shape the business as you see fit. The role will sit on their senior management team and play an integral part in the organisation’s future growth, leading the technical department to deliver success and a world-class service. They see the success of this role having a wider impact on the business, helping drive new sales, exceed customer expectations and identifying areas for expansion.
Technical Director – Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and implement modern technologies and methodologies to drive the business forward
- Develop strategies to assist in wider business growth, covering sales, customer service, product and operations
- Ensure targets, KPIs, and compliance standards are met, liaising with other teams within the business to ensure there are enough resources available for any teams that require improvements or support
Technical Director – Experience Required:
- Sound knowledge and experience of production and manufacturing processes within a specialist manufacturing environment
- Experience within mechanical or electrical design
- Previous experience of managing teams, creating an engaging work environment, and providing training where necessary
- “Outside the Box” thinking, with the ability to recognise modern trends and design ways to implement positive changes into the business

operating and/or leading a strong technical department.
The successful candidate is likely to have previous experience as a Production Director, Manufacturing Director, Technical Director, Works Director, Head of Technical or similar.
