Our client has an exciting opportunity for a General Manager – E-Commerce to join the team.
General Manager – Our Client:
Our client is a fast-growing e-commerce business selling consumables to the hospitality industry throughout the UK but with an especially strong presence and reputation within the Northwest. They have been operating since 2001 and have been growing steadily during that time. They now employee 100 people and turnover around £12M each year.
Due to their continued growth, they are now looking to expand the team with this board level position with someone with a strong background in an e-commerce focussed business.
General Manager – The Role:
- The opportunity to move into a Managing Director position with shareholding opportunity
- Room for progression and to genuinely make a difference within a growing business

General Manager – Key Responsibilities:
- Working with the senior leadership team to help grow the business
- Working across all business units including sales, marketing, finance, customer service, stock control, warehousing, and logistics
- Managing and motivating the team
- Reporting across the various business units for the Board
- Delivering the growth strategy through effective marketing techniques
General Manager - The Person:
- Experience within e-commerce
- Strong head for numbers
- Effective manager and leader
- Ability to look at processes and procedures and make improvements
- Strong communicator with high emotional intelligence
This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward thinking and growing business within an e-commerce setting. The successful candidate is likely to currently be a General Manager, Manager Director, Marketing Director, Business Unit Leader or similar with a strong all round skill set.
