Head of Operations – The Role:
They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Operations to lead their manufacturing operations in Leeds. As the Head of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, optimising processes, and ensuring the efficient production of their educational products. Head of Operations – Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimise manufacturing processes and improve efficiency.
- Lead and manage the manufacturing team, providing guidance, support, and motivation to achieve production targets and quality standards.
- Oversee production scheduling, resource allocation, and inventory management to meet customer demand and minimise lead times.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and streamline operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, sales, and logistics, to ensure alignment and integration of operations with overall business objectives.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and drive operational performance.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to optimise procurement processes and maintain supply chain efficiency.
Head of Operations– You:
- Bachelor's degree in business, operations management, engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in operations management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence.
- Demonstrated track record of implementing process improvements and driving operational efficiency.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and inventory control.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functional teams.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving operational targets and business objectives.
